Board of Directors

President

Andlee Phengphachanh

Conklin Cars - Salina

Andlee started o at an entry level detail position in 2013, but did not know
that over 10 years later he would transition into managing the Conklin Body
Shop in Salina. During the transition he has been the parts manager, an
estimator and a repair planner.
What Andlee loves about the collision industry is that it is always evolving, it
is never repetitive or stagnant. In the collision industry there is never a dull
moment, whether it be from a Kansas storm rolling through or new vehicles
coming out. There is always something to learn as every car and situation is
di erent.
Andlee moved to Salina in 2004 from Seattle and hasn’t looked back. Andlee
is happily married with two sons and a daughter. In his spare time he loves
attending his children’s sporting events. He also enjoys attending his local
SCCA auto cross events
Andlee might not have been in the industry as long as some, but he has
learned a lot from individuals in the field and by attending seminars. He would
like to give back to the Body Shop community as we are all trying to have safe
and proper repairs while creating positive customer experiences.

Vice President

Steve Urban

Lewis Chevrolet Collision Center

I graduated from Salina Area Technical School (Auto Body) in 1983 and worked as a combo tech for several years before I began my career as a body shop manager in 1990. In 1999, I went to work at what is now Hays Chevrolet Collision Center as the body shop manager and am still there today. Since graduation from Vo-Tech, I have been and currently am I-CAR and ASE certified. I live in Hays with my wife of 35 years, Brenda, and we have 3 adult children. My wife and I love to travel, and I enjoy restoring classic cars in my free time. Regarding the collision industry, I have done my best to remain involved and be a forward thinking type of person. I have seen many people come and go in this industry, many of them left because, as we all know, life in the body shop business has become more and more complicated and many have just said “I’m done.” I just turned 59 years old and feel that I still have many years left to work in this industry.

Secretary

Sabina Patterson

Pirrello Collision

Sabina has been in the collision industry in 2011. Her career started with accounting and mechanical service advising, which then progressed to collision estimating and shop management. She now works for Pirrello Collision in Lenexa, and as a former KABA board member, she would very much like the opportunity to be an advocate for the collision industry again.  In her free time, she enjoys everything from wrenching on cars and home remodeling, to gardening and reading a good book.

Immediate Past President

Joe Warren

JW Consulting

In 1995, Joe started in the automotive industry and was encouraged by the owner of that business to expand and explore other areas of transportation in Kansas City. This led to the aviation field where Joe attained his pilot’s license, while still acquiring more knowledge and skills in the automotive industry. He was able to gain more experience in the automotive industry while managing two collision centers. His desire and vision, with much prayer, led to the launching of JW Consulting in 2012, a paintless dent repair company. Beginning in 2019, they rebranded and moved into their new storefront location on the West side of Shawnee, Kansas with their corporate base in Olathe, Kansas. His licensed and insured technicians bring over twenty-seven years of expertise and experience in this industry. It is Joe's privilege to serve on the KABA Board to continue to see this industry achieve and accelerate for years to come.

Brody Simpson

Body Shop Near Me

Brody Simpson has spent thirty-two years in the collision repair industry, growing from a teenager sweeping shop floors to a respected leader, mentor, and co-founder of his own collision repair venture. At 46, he brings a rare combination of deep technical experience, proven operational leadership, and an unwavering commitment to OEM-correct, safety-first repairs. In November 2025, Brody left his role as Collision Center Director at Randy Curnow Buick GMC to join his partners in launching Body Shop Near Me, LLC—an independent collision repair company built on everything he has learned over three decades in the trade. Brody’s career began at age 14, working after school and on weekends in a body shop. Those early days were spent doing whatever the shop needed—cleaning, teardown, reassembly, and assisting experienced technicians. That hands-on education gave him a ground-level understanding of how vehicles are constructed and how proper repairs are performed. It also instilled a work ethic and respect for craftsmanship that have shaped every step of his career. At 19, he took the leap into ownership and opened his first body shop in Fort Scott, Kansas. For five years, he learned what it really means to run a collision business: managing technicians, working with insurance companies, earning customer trust, and balancing quality with cycle time and profitability. That experience as a young owner taught him to see the shop as a complete system—from front office to frame rack—and gave him a practical foundation in leadership, operations, and customer service.

Tim Wolf

AkzoNobel Coatings

I've been in the Collision industry since 1986.  I started working in the warehouse of my family's jobber store while I was in high school putting up freight and sweeping floors.  After graduation I went to work full time in the store doing counter sales, inventory control, outside sales, and eventually becoming the GM until a decision was reached to sell the company after my father's passing.  During that time I served as the Contest Chairman for Skills USA Kansas for several year and volunteered for 5 years on the Skills USA National Technical Committee.   I accepted a position with AkzoNobel in October of 2021 and began my second career in PBE distribution.  I cover the bulk of Kansas as well as the Oklahoma and Texas panhandles.  I firmly believe in the KABA mission and would be honored to champion the mission in any way needed.
